For the last two days our AT&T DSL has been creeping like dial-up on Windows 98.

 

There were some major Microsoft Updates two days ago, and I also downloaded a big update for OpenOffice. For the last two days, YouTube clips suddenly need real time minutes to download before they'll play. (A ten minute clip needs aboiut ten minutes to prepare itself mentally.)

 

So I initiated a System Restore to the 18th, but it didn't help.

 

(I think it's not relevant, but I refer to Vista Basic and a 2 year-old HP/Compaq 1g/120g)
