Weekend Open Thread (5/31/2008)

With the end of the legislative session, the Puerto Rico primary, and the big delegate meeting it seems like a good time for a weekend open thread.

After all the fighting and arguing and protests, etc... it looks like FL and MI were seated without changing the end game much:

CNN figures of both pledged/super delegate votes.

It looks like Obama will make up most of the 66 he needs with the last few primaries and any new superdelegates he picks up and surely clinch it soon after as more blocks of superdelegates land on his side.  Hillary really need the "uncommmitted" Michigan votes to not get assigned to Obama to knock him back any significant amount... and a full seating (not the half-votes) to put the bar out of his reach for the first convention vote majority.

An interesting day nonetheless.  Especially with CNN taking a time out for the shuttle launch during the recess... I still love to watch those.

It is interesting how Nancy Pelosi is handing the credit for the recent successes in Iraq to of all people..... the IRANIANS.

"And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians - they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities - the Iranians."

This woman will stoop as low as she must, to see that the war (and this country) FAILS.
