Just about at this moment, exactly six months ago, this little fellow was born.

FWIW, Portrait Innovations at Marketplace does some really nice shots, for not too much money.  We just did a family portrait with our 7mo son.

They also give/sell you a CD with low-res pics of all the shots they took - and there are high-res pics there too, but they're encrypted with some proprietary scheme so you can't get at them.

Both my mother-in-law and I are amatuer photographers, although she's much, much better at the pictures of Will than I am, and so far we've not really needed a studio.  She shot several hundred photos of him while she was visiting for Easter.  :-)
