It looks like Jon White pleaded guilty in Champaign County and is expected to plead guilty in McLean County as well.

Is it just me, or does White's 'taste testing game' sound easier to prove then Rietz suggests? I just can't see a jury deciding that while White was definitely engaged in sexual abuse, when it came to the whole 'putting the sex organ in the mouth' thing, he used a banana instead. And he had the kids close their eyes so they wouldn't see the banana?
I can understand not wanting to put the victims through a trial. I can also understand the attractiveness of having this case over. But I wonder if people will be happy when this guy gets a 20 year sentence and is out in 10 (or whatever it might be).
I'm not sure - it sounded like he kept them blindfolded so that they never saw his genitals. So I don't know what kind of evidence they were able to collect.
So a serial child molester that plead guilty who used his position as a teacher to attack his victims may go to jail for only about the same amount of time as the age of his victims 7 or 8 years or less that’s sad.
I am willing to bet that he won't get anything near a minimum sentence...
The guy is now a convicted serial child-molestor. Any prison sentence is a potential death sentence, as it should be.
He's gonna learn how to play a whole new version of the tasting game.
Good riddance.
Why didn't Julia ask the Judge to revoke White's bond and put him in jail right now, isn't he a risk to flee like the Russian guy did?

Err... I think he's headed to McLean county court this afternoon anyhow.
From the story above-2 consecutive sentences that range from probation to 3 to 7 year terms and be eligible for day-for-day good time.

I think you misread. From probation to 3 to 7 years on each of 8 counts to be served consecutively (one after the other). That is a maximum of 56 years. All are Class 2 felonies. That is where the 2 came from I think.
I heard seven or eight counts with seven or eight years per, the math is 7 x 8 either way which equals fifty six years. Which equals twenty eight that must be served, I think. If that is the case, that will work. As Prairie Biker stated, he's in for a good time, at least I think that's what he'll get. Could easily be a death sentence. WDWS news source here.
Plus 2 more counts in McLean, which will probably also run consecutiveley, so add in another 6-14 yrs. These kinds of plea agreements have victim approval, and not running the risk of putting all those kids on the stand has a lot to do with it. The "banana" may or may not sell to a jury, but I'm sure White recognized that the rest of the charges were going to, and he also ran of the risk of them believing it was not a bannana and ending up with a natural life sentence. It was the smart thing for him to do as well if he ever hopes to get out prison some day
Channel 3 reports he is out on bond.....
