As you may have heard by now, Governor Blagojevich has called the legislature back today for another in a long line of special sessions. The problem is, his call to special session only included a bailout for Chicago Area Mass Transit systems. I say that because numerous downstate lawmakers have said they won't support an RTA bailout without a capital plan. Without a capital plan mentioned in the Governor's proclaimation. So what's going to happen? Nothing probably. State government at its finest.
So I pose this question to you: What is more important, a capital bill or a mass transit bailout?
The floor is yours.

As far as action, you may be correct, but one thing will happen, this special session will probably enable the state to top 1 million dollars in expenses and extra day payments to legislators. 1 million dollars and that is from a Governor who wants us to spend money on health care.
Let do the math, $1,000,000 divided by 177 members of the General Assembly = $5,650 per legislator. Not a bad chunk of change for doing nothing.
How far would 1 million dollars go against your medical bills?
To that end, I am, and shall always remain;
Rex Bradfield
It's interesting that we have heard nothing for weeks from Naomi or Frerichs on any of this mess.
Why should we? Naomi is unopposed and good for another 3 years and Frerichs has 3 years to go.
To that end, I am, and shall always remain;
Rex Bradfield
What is more important?
How about getting rid of Blago, Jones, and Madigan?
Ridding the state of all three of them would be a good start.....
Jones possible not probable, Blago lots of money maybe a chance because no one likes him, it just depends on who likes him in Chicago. Madigan will leave when he wants too.

Yea, and you won't hear from either of them !! until Jones or the Boy Governor tells them it's OK to speak!!
But I'm sure they will pocket the overtime checks, not to mention the under the table money for the Chicago mass transit vote! What a joke these 2 are !
Boggle.
If you have evidence of bribery, then please share it. Otherwise, don't make such accusations.

Are you kidding me?? This kind of "You scratch my back ,I'll scratch yours" has been going on for decades on both sides of the aisle. These two are far too smart to get caught openly taking bribes, They are bought and paid for by Blago and Jones, they are for the Chicago machine, If they weren't why are they not saying anything about the million dollar circus that has become the latest do nothing overtime session?? We will see how they distance themselves when the Feds come after Blago and Jones, it's just a matter of time.
Again, let's see some concrete evidence of misconduct, other than what exists in your head or stop with the attacks. When the feds come knocking, then we can talk about it, until then, you're no better than the trolls.

This may not be misconduct, but the Guv calls a special session to bail out the CTA, then before the session is over He leaves early to go to the Blackhaws game in Chicago!, How about sticking around and doing your job "Blowdriovich"????
"How about sticking around and doing your job "Blowdriovich"????"
How about backing up your claim that Rep. Jakobsson and Sen. Frerichs are taking money "under the table" in exchange for their votes on certain issues?
Democrats are at risk here. They control everything in this state. It's in their best interest to keep this complete failure of government under the radar.
The Democrats deserve to be hurt in Illinois because of this situation. However, the Republicans need to be stepping up and showing strong leadership.
