You can add that to the list of things that you thought you'd never see me write.
A summary:
Clinton's 50-minute speech, which started about an hour behind schedule, was derailed briefly by several hecklers in the audience who shouted that the 2001 terrorist attacks were a fraud. Rather than ignoring them, Clinton seemed to relish a direct confrontation.
"A fraud? No, it wasn't a fraud," Clinton said, as the crowd cheered him on. "I'll be glad to talk to you if you shut up and let me talk."
When another heckler shouted that the attacks were an "inside job," Clinton took even greater umbrage.
"An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job," Clinton said. "You guys have got to be careful, you're going to give Minnesota a bad reputation."

Big kudos. Might disagree on a lot of things, but "troofers" are off their rockers. Here's another video that shows the earlier heckler and related story here from a local Minnesota NBC affiliate.

Yes, the zeitgeist conspiracy videos on the internet are quite the rage these days. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_E4N5YIycI) Finally got around to watching them. Crazy? Yes. Captivating? Absolutely! He covers a range of topics from religion to international banking to the 9/11 events that the Clinton heckler was questioning. Don't watch these videos before going to bed!
People need to respond this way to the pro-Chief nutcases, who are quickly becoming the hecklers of the area.
Oh ffs... always with the Chief. Pro-Chief, Anti-Chief, Chief Chief Chief... oh so important to the cultural understanding of the most vile attack on our country by a foreign power. Absolutely in the same league of societal importance.
Right... got it.</sarcasm>

Glock21, I think most people, especially those older than whelps, would say the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor by a sovereign nation, is worse. But it's getting harder and harder to sabre rattle and stay paranoid about the Japanese, isn't it? Maybe the British sackng and burning Washington DC might be up there, too.
Anon... I'd agree that Pearl Harbor was more strategically damaging than 9/11. But more vile would be a stretch considering who/what was targeted in each. The sacking of Washington may have been similarly demoralizing but even that is somewhat debatable considering that at the time we were already fully aware of our relative weakness to other world powers and the action was part of an ongoing open conflict as opposed to a pre-emptive sneak attack. To argue that it was more vile would also be a stretch considering it was in direct response to our similar actions in the invasion of Canada.
Perhaps you just wanted to point out that there were other generally worse attacks, for any number reasons or ramifications. I'd certainly put Pearl Harbor up there as the worst given the ramifications. But I was pointing out that the 9/11 attacks were the most vile, not the worst. I'm sure I earned a bit of a snarky response to my harsh sarcastic rant criticising someone for jumping on unrelated threads to rip on people involved in a mascot debate. I just figured such a response might actually address what I said... not go off on some strange tangent about how 9/11 wasn't that bad or how politicians have a tendancy of milking tragedies for policy support.

You pro-Chief nutcases need to be careful; you're going to give Illinois a bad reputation.
Oops. Too late ...
I'm sorry, this has been coming up a bit lately and I'm regrettably not up to speed on the whole "Truth" movement. I don't even know which view is popular. I just recall watching those towers drop within their own footprints and thought, "Wow! Were they designed to do that?" I still don't know what brought down the third building. Heat I suppose. It does seem there are still some things that need explained, that's all. Maybe I should Google around a bit.
Also, just because Bill denies something, doesn't mean it didn't happen...
