The Illinois State Rifle Association is among the most effective grassroots political groups in Illinois (witness the quick death of the assault weapons ban in a state entirely controlled by urban, anti-gun Democrats), and they've just endorsed Sen. Bill Brady for Governor.
“With Bill Brady in the governor's mansion, the state's law-abiding firearm owners will no longer be thrust into the role of scapegoat for failed liberal social policies,” the ISRA Political Victory Fund said in its endorsement. “Bill Brady is truly the law-abiding firearm owner's best friend.”ÂÂ
Maybe this will finally spark Brady's campaign?

If yard signs are any indication, he could win Champaign, but Topinka will kill him in Springfield.
Is Brady running any ads upstate? I haven't heard or seen any hear in weeks.
I've actually seen about an equal amount of Topinka and Brady yard signs. Perhaps, even more Topinkas.
In Champaign? I've seen double the amount of Brady signs to Topinka or Oberweis signs.

Yes, in Champaign. Perhaps it's my neighborhood? But from a cursory overview from driving around town the past few weeks, it seems that there are quite a few Topkinka yard signs, as well a few Bradys.
Ditch's can't vote. But the Topinka sign's are different story but I haven't seen that many.
